Basic Green Juice (raw, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, nut free, sugar free)
While I would definitely recommend eating your veggies instead of drinking them, a freshly pressed green juice can be a quick and refreshing way to get some important nutrients into your body. Many veggie juices actually use fruit as their base- usually apple- and can actually be quite high in sugar. (It takes about 8 apples to make 2 cups of juice!) Try using a cucumber or celery base instead- both veggies are very low in sugar and have high water content. Then add other veggies for flavor and additional nutrients. Fruit can be used to sweeten your juice as necessary; one apple or orange is usually enough to take the edge off 💚
1 bunch celery
1 lemon, peel removed
2 green apples
Juice and serve!
