Nut-Free Chocolate Fudge Raw Balls (raw, vegan, paleo, dairy free, sugar free, nut free)
Makes 10-12 balls (lost count because I ate a couple while making them)
No nuts, no problem! You might think that you can’t have a raw ball without nuts, but I’m here to prove you wrong! These are so gooey and delicious that you won’t believe you’re not eating real fudge. And I added some hemp seeds so you’re still getting that protein boost!
1.5 cups soft dates
1 Tbs cocoa, raw cacao, or carob powder (depending on preference and availability) + additional for coating
3 heaping Tbs hemp seeds
1/4 tsp vanilla
Shredded coconut for coating (if not using the cocoa/cacao/carob)
Blend all ingredients in a food processor until combined and smooth. Roll into balls and coat with the cocoa/cacao/carob powder or shredded coconut. It’s important to coat these because they’re really sticky. Store the balls in the fridge and allow them at least an hour to firm up before serving.
