Pan Fried Bananas (vegan, paleo, gluten free, dairy free, nut free)
I suddenly got a craving for fried bananas and had to try making a healthier version. This 4 ingredient recipe hit the spot!
1 large banana, sliced into coins
1 Tbsp coconut oil (for vegan) or butter
2 Tbsp maple syrup (for vegan) or honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Add the coconut oil, maple syrup and cinnamon to a skillet over medium-high heat. When everything is combined, add the banana slices and cook for about 4-5 minutes, checking to make sure they aren’t burning. Flip and cook on the other side. Serve immediately with any remaining sauce and top with nice cream or coconut cream.
*To get coconut cream simply chill a can of coconut in the fridge overnight and then scrape the thickened cream off the top.
