Sesame Crackers (paleo, gluten free, dairy free, sugar free)
Makes one sheet of crackers
Now while it may have a tough time competing with the trendy chia seed and super hemp seed, the sesame seed definitely deserves some glory. Sesame seeds are high in calcium, magnesium, and iron. Studies have shown that they can lower blood pressure, promote heart health, and boost digestive health. So check out this delicious, easy, and quick cracker recipe from @elanaspantry!
1.5 cups almond flour
1/2 cup unhulled sesame seeds (can use hulled but you won’t get as much calcium and iron)
1 tsp sea salt
1 Tbs olive oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F/175 degrees C. Whisk egg until frothy. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Add dough to the center of a parchment lined baking sheet. Cover with another piece of parchment paper and roll out the dough until it’s about 1/8 inch thick. Remove the top paper and bake the crackers for 10-12 minutes, until starting to turn golden brown. Cut into squares or break into pieces. Let cool before serving. **These taste great with both sweet and savory spreads.
