Tikka Masala Sauce

Vegan Tikka Masala Sauce
Serves 4
Easy, cheap and fast but tastes so authentic you won’t believe it. This is the vegan version but I’ve included the original ingredients as well. Got the 👍🏾from @wandadollmayer @warrernilsson@jennahellstrom!
1 Tbsp coconut oil or butter
3-4 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp paprika or cayenne pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups (7 dl) plain marinara sauce
1 Tbsp honey (adjust for desired sweetness)
1/2 cup (1 dl) coconut milk or heavy cream
Heat coconut oil and garam masala in a large pot over medium heat for 30 seconds. Add minced garlic and paprika/cayenne pepper, marinara sauce, honey, and 1/2 cup (1 dl) water. Stir to mix and then bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 6-7 minutes. Stir in coconut milk and serve with your favorite protein and grain. For Chicken Tikka Masala, I cut up chicken breast into chunks and sprinkle with garam masala, salt, and pepper before cooking in the pan or oven.
